A Little Dream, A Big Step of Faith
Share
It's happening.
Something that started as a quiet dream, something I prayed over, stepped away from, and eventually placed completely in God's hands, has taken another step forward.
Serene Dragonfly officially has a little home inside Rabbit Creek Market in Tallahassee!
And I don't think I can fully put into words how much that means to me.
If you've followed along with my earlier blogs, you know this journey has never been about simply opening a business and selling things. There has always been something much deeper behind Serene Dragonfly.
A vision of peace. A place to slow down. A reminder that even in the middle of life's responsibilities and challenges, there is still beauty to be found.
But knowing what you want to build and knowing how to get there are two very different things.
For a while, I tried to figure it all out myself.
Then I stopped.
I prayed, stepped back, and trusted God to open the doors that were meant to open.
And He did.
When the opportunity came along to become part of Rabbit Creek Market's expansion, things began falling into place in ways I hadn't expected.
Before I knew it, I was gathering inventory, labeling products, building displays, and turning a little 5-by-4-foot space into something that felt like Serene Dragonfly.
There were late nights, plenty of figuring things out as I went, and probably a hundred different ideas running through my head at once.
But there was also something I hadn't felt in a while.
That feeling of being right where I was supposed to be.
I remember working on my booth and realizing just how much I enjoyed bringing it all together. Creating something with my own hands, arranging the little details, and watching an empty space slowly become something real.
I was completely in my element.
And on October 15, Rabbit Creek Market celebrated the grand opening of its new expansion.
Unfortunately, I had already planned a family vacation long before this opportunity came along, so I wasn't able to be there for opening day.
But my little space was ready.
And that alone was such an exciting feeling.
To know that something I had been quietly working toward was finally out there for others to see and enjoy.
And while Serene Dragonfly now has a little home at Rabbit Creek Market, the website isn't going anywhere. It's simply taking a different direction.
My physical products will be available at Rabbit Creek, while the website will become a space for my digital art, photography, and the stories I share here on the blog.
I'm excited to get back to creating and sharing more of the things I love. Photography and art have always been part of my journey, and I'm looking forward to giving them their own place to grow.
It's another little piece of Serene Dragonfly finding where it belongs.
It's a small space, yes.
But I have learned that small beginnings can hold some pretty big dreams.
And while I'm excited about the products, the creativity, and seeing where this new adventure leads, I'm even more excited about what it represents.
Progress without forcing it.
Growth without having every answer.
And learning to trust God's timing instead of constantly questioning my own.
I still have a much bigger vision for Serene Dragonfly. One that goes beyond a website, a market booth, or the things I create and sell.
And that vision is still very much alive.
I'm just learning that I don't have to build the entire dream today.
I can enjoy this part of the journey while continuing to work toward what comes next.
There will be changes, lessons, mistakes, and probably a few more unexpected turns along the way.
But that's okay.
Because this little booth has already taught me something.
Sometimes the next step doesn't look anything like the destination, but that doesn't mean it isn't leading you there.
So here's to new beginnings, answered prayers, and trusting the process even when we can't see the whole picture.
Serene Dragonfly is growing.
And so am I.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, supported me, and followed along as this little dream continues to unfold.
I can't wait to see what God has planned next.
